A look at the use of digital technologies as an object of study in a distance learning mathematics course

Resumo: This article is based on the following question: how are Digital Technologies methodologically approached as an object of study in a Distance Learning Mathematics course from the perspective of teacher trainers? As scenario, we had a Undergraduate Degree Course in Mathematics, in the distance modality, from a Public Institution of Higher Education located in the state of Minas Gerais. Adopting the qualitative research approach, we conducted an interview with the professors who taught courses that approached the Digital Technologies as the object of study. According to the results we infer the need for greater care by the professors in the organization of the teaching of their courses regarding the relationship between the classroom and the Digital Technologies. They should propose formative situations that not only present the technologies to the students, but also allow these future teachers to develop knowledge about the integration of such technologies in the classroom.

Como cenário, tivemos uma Licenciatura em Matemática, na modalidade a distância, de uma Instituição Pública de Ensino Superior, localizada no estado de Minas Gerais. Adotando a abordagem da pesquisa qualitativa, realizamos entrevistas com os professores formadores que ministraram disciplinas que abordaram as tecnologias digitais como objeto de estudo.
