Pangenesis and heredity: a historical and philosophical approach in elementary school

Resumo: This article presents the results of a study conducted to analyze which elements on the construction of science students of the eighth grade of elementary school problematized along a historical and contextual study of heredity, from the introduction of the hypothesis of pangenesis, prepared by Charles Darwin. The research was conducted over a pedagogical approach based on strategy called three axes, which aims a more contextual approach to science, presenting artistic elements, technical and scientific the study period. To build the research we used the methodology of action-research and we use the framework of discursive textual analysis to analyze the data collected. Among the results discussed, we emphasize that students problematized contextual issues students problematized contextual issues like slavery in Brazil. During the research, we observed some challenges related to the history of science insertion in elementary school, cultural approach to science, indicating future research prospects.

During the research, we observed some challenges related to the history of science insertion in elementary school, cultural approach to science, indicating future research prospects.Esse artigo apresenta os resultados de uma pesquisa cujo objetivo é analisar que elementos sobre a construção da ciência são problematizados por alunos e alunas do oitavo ano do ensino fundamental num estudo histórico-contextual sobre a hereditariedade, a partir da apresentação a hipótese da pangênese, elaborada por Charles Darwin. A pesquisa foi desenvolvida ao longo de uma intervenção pedagógica baseada na estratégia denominada de três eixos, que busca uma abordagem mais contextual da ciência, apresentando elementos artísticos, técnicos e científicos do período estudado.  A metodologia da pesquisa-ação foi utilizada para a construção da pesquisa e os dados coletados foram analisados a partir do referencial da análise textual discursiva.  Dentre os resultados discutidos, destaca-se que os discentes problematizaram questões contextuais como a escravidão no Brasil.
