The forms of adress in Spanish Pedagogical Grammar of the 18th and 19th centuries

Resumo: | This paper arms to describe the grammatization process of pronominal address terms in Spanish pedagogical grammar published between the 18th and 19th centuries. The time frame was chosen due to the changes observed in the production of pedagogical grammar and in the use of these linguistic forms in this period. The methodology adopted is of a qualitative and exploratory nature and it assumes as a procedure of analysis a documental research that includes the comparison of four grammars produced between the aforementioned centuries. It was found that only the grammar of the first half of the 18th century does not contain mention of the usted form. The two from the 19th century contemplate this form by categorizing it as a pronoun or equivalent. The use of the pronoun vos also appears with delimitations of its context of use in the manual analyzed for the second half of the 18th century, notes that are repeated in the two grammars of the 19th century, increasingly limited to more formal registers. Se ha elegido dicho recorte temporal debido a los cambios verificados en la producción de los manuales escolares y en el uso de estas formas lingüísticas en este período. Se ha adoptado una metodología cualitativa y exploratoria, con procedimiento de análisis una investigación documental que comprende el cotejamiento de cuatro gramáticas producidas en los referidos siglos. Se ha verificado que la gramática de la primera mitad del siglo XVIII no menciona la forma 'usted' y que las dos del siglo XIX contemplan esta forma, categorizándola como un pronombre o equivalente. El uso del pronombre 'vos' aparece con delimitación de sus contextos de uso en el manual analizado para la segunda mitad del siglo XVIII. Esta delimitación también forma parte de la descripción del 'vos' en las gramáticas del siglo XIX, las que lo presentan cada vez más restringido a registros más formales.Este trabalho buscou descrever o processo de gramatização das formas pronominais de tratamento em gramáticas escolares espanholas publicadas entre os séculos XVIII e XIX. A escolha pelo recorte temporal se deu pelas mudanças verificadas na produção de manuais escolares e no uso dessas formas linguísticas nesse período. A metodologia adotada é de cunho qualitativo e exploratório e assume como procedimento de análise uma pesquisa documental que compreende o cotejamento de quatro gramáticas produzidas entre os referidos séculos. Verificou-se que apenas a gramática da primeira metade do século XVIII não contém menção à forma usted. As duas do século XIX contemplam essa forma categorizando-a como um pronome ou equivalente.
