Resumo: | In this paper, drawing basically on a set of studies initially published in the French journal Pratiques: linguistique, littérature and didactique, number 139/140, in December 2008, we discuss the state of the art of popular linguistics in the North American and European contexts. Beyond the proposed mapping, we also aim to perform a kind of conceptualization of popular linguistics, offering contributions based on issues of epistemological, theoretical, representational, and practical nature, which, in our understanding, are fundamental for the study-field of language sciences to reach a safe dynamism without any kind of binarisms. |

Beyond the proposed mapping, we also aim to perform a kind of conceptualization of popular linguistics, offering contributions based on issues of epistemological, theoretical, representational, and practical nature, which, in our understanding, are fundamental for the study-field of language sciences to reach a safe dynamism without any kind of binarisms.En este texto, básicamente tomamos un conjunto de trabajos inicialmente publicados en la revista francesa Pratiques: linguistique, littérature e didactique, numero 139/140, en diciembre de 2008, discutimos el estado del arte de la lingüística popular en el contexto norteamericano y europeo. Además del mapeo propuesto, también aspiramos a realizar una especie de conceptualización de la lingüística popular, contribuyendo al tratamiento de este campo de estudio basado en cuestiones de naturaleza epistemológica, teórica, representativa y práctica, que, a nuestro entender, son fundamentales para el estudio. El campo de la ciencia del lenguaje se eleva a un dinamismo seguro sin binarios de ningún tipo.Neste texto, tomando basicamente um conjunto de trabalhos publicados inicialmente na revista francesa Pratiques: linguistique, littérature e didactique, número 139/140, em dezembro de 2008, discorremos sobre o estado da arte da linguística popular no contexto norte-americano e europeu.
