Moving centralities: the voice that emerges from the farmers market and the silence of others

Resumo: This article aims to problematize the relationship between centrality and periphery in the city of Imperatriz, in Maranhão, through a procedural bias attentive to the social construction work of Feira do Bom Sucesso, located in the Bom Sucesso neighborhood. Based on authors such as Burgess (2017), Bourdieu (1997), Feltran (2012), Telles (2010), Santos (1981), among others, reflection was launched on the construction of an economic centrality in the periphery that emerged from political mobilizations, urban mobility event sand processes. To this end, a street ethnography was carried out, which enabled the production of images and contact with local leaders and workers whose itineraries and stories merge with the fair itself.
