Resumo: The pandemic crisis of 2020, caused by Covid-19, triggered a series of changes to which it was conventionally called “new normal”. The area of education was particularly affected, given that it was one of the first areas to have its classroom activities suspended and reorganized for remote ones. Since the beginning of these activities, a series of concerns have been raised by professional associations, scientific and intellectual associations about working conditions in education under the new normal established by the pandemic crisis. In this article, based on three published studies on teaching labor during the pandemic, we compared the data and academic production in work studies, in order to highlight what is new in education labor and what are continuities of a professional segment that has gradually been permeated by ubiquitous practices. Between changes and permanences in the education labor, we propose the mobilization of the concept of ubiquity as an explanatory category that allows us to capture the specificities of teaching in these contexts.

Between changes and permanences in the education labor, we propose the mobilization of the concept of ubiquity as an explanatory category that allows us to capture the specificities of teaching in these contexts.
