Resumo: The purpose of this text is to analyze some elements of Weber's political sociology, from a conceptual and empirical perspective, through a historical sociology of the rise of Nazism in Germany. Starting with Weber's political writings on German unification, our main focus is on the concepts of charismatic domination and charismatic leadership, recomposing them in close proximity to historical elements of Hitler and the Third Reich's rise. Guided by Nazism expert historians, our hypothesis is that Weber's sociology of charismatic domination and leadership seems to us entirely adequate to understand Hitler's specific role, particularly that of the nature of his power in front of German society. The research is guided by a methodological question, which aims to go beyond the mere historical context and operate an authentic transition from social action under certain circumstances (generalization of concepts by the sociology of the charism) to the course effectively given by action, under similar or singular circumstances (the rise of Nazism), in an exercise of historical adequacy.
