Teaching Sociology: the constitution of a subfield of research

Resumo: | The aim of the article is to reflect on the identity of the research area on the teaching of sociology in basic education, in view of the debate already initiated by some authors that support the hypothesis of this area being a subfield of research within the scientific field of the social sciences. Dialogue with Pierre Bourdieu's concept of the field, the article dialogues with some of these works and at the same time presents results of the profile research of the masters researchers who have developed researches on the subject. The data collected by the profile corroborate the hypothesis that the teaching of sociology constitutes a sub-field of research. |

The data collected by the profile corroborate the hypothesis that the teaching of sociology constitutes a sub-field of research.O objetivo do artigo é refletir sobre a identidade da área de pesquisa sobre o ensino de sociologia na educação básica, tendo em vista o debate já iniciado por alguns autores que sustentam a hipótese desta área ser um sub-campo de pesquisa no interior do campo científico das ciências sociais. Dialogando com o conceito de campo, de Pierre Bourdieu, o artigo dialoga com alguns desses trabalhos e ao mesmo tempo apresenta resultados da pesquisa de perfil dos pesquisadores de mestrado que desenvolveram pesquisas sobre o tema. Os dados levantados pelo perfil corroboram com a hipótese de que o ensino de sociologia se constitui como um sub-campo de pesquisa.
