Maria da Glória de Oliveira and Saidiya Hartman: a reading on the specters, from the plural times and the (non)inscription

Resumo: Through the unfolding of this study, we dedicated ourselves initially to the fundamental notes of Maria da Glória de Oliveira, in the paper named “Specters of the Coloniality-Raciality and Plural Times of It”, in a way that we approach concepts and importante themes for the authors, such as the specters of the coloniality-raciality, its temporal ruptures and the so called dead-end Alley of the representation. On a second moment, and based on what is exposed by Oliveira, we propose ourselves a reading on this specters and returning fragments from the past, contained on the book of Saidiyaia Hartman, “Lose the Mother: a journey through the Atlantic Slavery” (2021). By the end, we take back to reflections and paths fueled for the surveyed area like, for example, the necessary reorganization  of the language, the space of the suborditaned on the representation, and such challenges that were raised to us inspired the text of Maria da Glória de Oliveira.

Em um segundo momento, e partindo do que é exposto por Oliveira, propomos-nos a uma leitura desses espectros e fragmentos “retornantes” do passado, presentes no livro de Saidiyaia Hartman, Perder a mãe: uma jornada pela rota atlântica da escravidão (2021).
