Hybridisms and intertextuality in teen-themed contemporany cinema

Resumo: This paper aims to investigate the intertextual relationships and the hybrid experiences between means of communication and esthetics present in a number of contemporary films from distinct cinematographic backgrounds whose focus privileges the teen universe. From a broader framwork of six filmes, the analysis was mainly focused on the spanish movie Verbo (2011, Eduardo Chapero-Jackson) and the polish The Suicide Room (2011, Jan Komasa). From the narrative construction and visual composition of these films, the author attempted to draw a representation on how the characters’ rites of passage are developed within the narrative of the different film mechanisms in its hybrid conception and pervaded by intertextuality.

De um quadro mais amplo de seis filmes, a análise esteve focada no espanhol Verbo (2011, de Eduardo Chapero-Jackson) e no polonês Quarto do Suicídio (2011, de Jan Komasa).
