Resumo: In this work we return to face the problem about the authorship of Wanda Tinasky's letters. These were given as authored by the American fictionist Thomas R. Pynchon; thesis that was denied by Donald Foster (2000) based on historical evidence. In 2018, we wrote a first essay making the same contest as Foster but based on data pertaining to each writer's lexical choices. That is: a refutation by linguistic means. In this work, we face the problem again to ratify Foster's result and that of our previous work, but this time we chose to analyze values such as length of periods, frequency of orthographic signs and, especially, the lexical richness of each corpus. We consider that the result confirmed our hypothesis and, finally, we believe, it rests linguistically proven that Pynchon did not write the letters of Wanda Tinasky.

Estas que foram dadas como de autoria do ficcionista estadunidense Thomas R. Pynchon; tese que foi desmentida por Donald Foster (2000) baseada em evidências históricas. Em 2018, escrevemos um primeiro ensaio fazendo a mesma contestação de Foster, mas baseado em dados referentes a escolhas lexicais de cada escritor. Ou seja: a refutação por meios linguísticos. Neste trabalho, nós enfrentamos o problema de novo para ratificar o resultado de Foster e o do nosso trabalho anterior, mas desta vez optamos por analisar valores como comprimento de períodos, frequência de sinais ortográficos e, especialmente, a riqueza lexical de cada corpus.
