Material Analysis of the vocabulary of the Guarani Language of 1722: A Jesuit-Guaraní print

Resumo: Objective: It aims to undertake a material analysis of one of the forms born from the mythical Jesuit-Guarani press. Method: It makes a material analysis of the bibliographic state of the copy of the Vocabulary of the Guaraní language of Ruiz de Montoya printed in 1722 in the Santa María la Mayor printing house, which is currently kept in the Mariano Moreno National Library in order to identify details that give us clues about possible editorial practices at that time. Result: Taking into account what is presented in this work, what is already known about the economic, political and social structure of the Jesuit-Guaraní communities, about the political force that implied the presence of a printing press in those lands Conclusions: It infers that the Jesuit-Guaraní traveling printing press was a school printing press and that its main cause of mobility lies in this fact, added to the impossibility of manufacturing other printing presses in each town. Mariano Moreno National Library – Argentina.Objetivo: El presente trabajo de investigación tiene como objetivo emprender un análisis material de uno de los impresos nacido de la mítica imprenta jesuítico- guaraní. Método: En este proceso haremos un análisis material del estado bibliográfico del ejemplar del Vocabulario de la lengua guaraní de Ruiz de Montoya impreso en 1722 en la imprenta de Santa María la Mayor, que se conserva actualmente en la Biblioteca Nacional Mariano Moreno con el fin de identificar detalles que nos den indicios sobre las posibles prácticas editoriales de aquel entonces. Resultado: Teniendo en cuenta lo presentado en este trabajo, lo que se sabe ya de la estructura económica, política y social de las comunidades jesuítico- guaraní, de la fuerza política que implicó la presencia de una imprenta en esas tierras Conclusiones: podemos inferir que la imprenta ambulante jesuítico-guaraní era una imprenta escuela y que en este hecho reside su causa principal de movilidad, sumado a la imposibilidad de fabricar otras imprentas en cada puebloObjetivo: O presente trabalho de pesquisa tem como objetivo realizar uma análise material de uma das formas nascidas da mítica imprensa jesuíta-guarani. Método: Faz-se uma análise material do estado bibliográfico da cópia do Vocabulário da Língua Guarani de Ruiz de Montoya impressa em 1722 na gráfica Santa María la Mayor, que atualmente se encontra na Biblioteca Nacional Mariano Moreno para identificar detalhes que nos dêem pistas sobre possíveis práticas editoriais naquele momento. Resultado: Levando em conta o que é apresentado neste trabalho, o que já se sabe sobre a estrutura econômica, política e social das comunidades jesuíta-guarani, sobre a força política que implicou a presença de uma gráfica naquelas terras.
