Resumo: The aim of this article is to analyze and interpret the relation of 2013 Confederations Cup in Brazil with the demonstrations which happened in the country, and the bias adopted by Folha de São Paulo in the coverage of such events. The newspaper Folha de São Paulo’s issues from 11 to 30 July, 2013 were analyzed. From the newspaper’s analysis, we have obtained the following categories: sport result, sport economy, publicity, social issues and infrastructure. We have reached the conclusion that the newspaper Folha de São Paulo has published various sports reports connected with the social context which molded the country and the demonstrations.

We have reached the conclusion that the newspaper Folha de São Paulo has published various sports reports connected with the social context which molded the country and the demonstrations. Este artículo tiene como objetivo analizar e interpretar la relación de la Copa de las Confederaciones/ Brasil 2013 con los manifiestos sociales ocurridos en el país, y el sesgado adoptado por la “Folha de São Paulo” en la cobertura de tales eventos. Fue analizado el periódico “Folha de São Paulo” durante los días 11 al 30 de junio de 2013. A partir del análisis del periódico, llegamos a las siguientes categorías: deporte resultado, deporte economía, publicidad, cuestiones políticas y sociales, infraestructura. Concluimos que el periódico “Folha de São Paulo” durante la Copa de las Confederaciones vehiculó diversos reportajes deportivos relacionadas al contexto social que amoldaba el país y las manifestaciones.   Este artigo tem por objetivo analisar e interpretar, a relação da Copa das Confederações/ Brasil 2013 com os manifestos sociais ocorridos no país, e o viés adotado pela Folha de São Paulo na cobertura de tais eventos. Foi analisado o jornal Folha de São Paulo durante os dias 11 a 30 de junho de 2013. A partir da análise do jornal, chegamos as seguintes categorias: esporte resultado, esporte economia, publicidade, questões políticas e sociais e infraestrutura.
