To know the characteristics of the produced researches can allow to identify the choices of researchers and the gaps existing. Thus, the aim of this study was to analyze the scientific publication on Sport Management, which focuses on action and intervention manager. It conducted the literature in four electronic databases. They were identified 40 articles that met the inclusion criteria, 11 trials, 6 review articles or documentary research and 23 original articles. The most discussed topics was the training of sports management, sports management as to its organization and public policies in sports and leisure. By analyzing the method adopted in the studies, it was possible to identify the growth in the number of publications in recent years and the predominance of quantitative research, built from an empirical-analytic conception of science. It is important diversification of research conducted with the use qualitative researches that allow a closer relationship with the actual context of management.

Conocer las características de las investigaciones producidas puede permitir identificar las elecciones de los investigadores y las brechas existentes. Por lo tanto, este estudio objetivó analizar la publicación científica sobre Gestión del Deporte, que se centra en la intervención del gestor. Se llevó a cabo la revisión de la literatura en cuatro bases de datos electrónicas. Se identificaron 40 artículos, 11 de ellos eran ensayos, 6 artículos de revisión o investigación documental y 23 artículos originales. Los temas más discutidos en las publicaciones analizadas fueron la formación de gestores deportivos, la gestión de la organización de las políticas públicas de deporte y ocio. Mediante el análisis del método adoptado en los estudios, hemos identificado el crecimiento en el número de publicaciones en los últimos años y el predominio de la investigación cuantitativa, construido a partir de una concepción empírico-analítico de la ciencia. Es importante la diversificación de la investigación llevada a cabo con el uso de la investigación cualitativa, lo que permite más cerca del contexto actual de la gestión.A produção do conhecimento sobre a gestão do esporte tem aumentado nos últimos anos. Conhecer as características das pesquisas que têm sido realizadas permite identificar as escolhas feitas pelos pesquisadores ao abordar, bem como as lacunas ainda existentes. Nessa perspectiva, o objetivo deste estudo foi analisar a publicação científica sobre a Gestão de Esporte, que focaliza a intervenção do gestor. Foi realizado o levantamento bibliográfico em quatro bases de dados eletrônicas. Foram identificados 40 artigos que atenderam aos critérios estabelecidos, sendo 11 ensaios, 6 artigos de revisão ou pesquisa documental e 23 artigos originais. Os temas mais abordados na publicação analisada foram a formação dos gestores esportivos, a organização da gestão as políticas públicas de esporte e lazer. Ao analisar o método adotado nos estudos identificou-se o crescimento no número de publicações nos últimos anos e o predomínio de pesquisas quantitativas, construídas a partir de uma concepção empírico-analítica de ciência.
