Resumo: Abortion is analyzed from a historical perspective, and afterwards a brief analisys on how different religions address this issue is presented. The beginning of life demonstrate that theories diverge, and, therefore, abortion may be dealt with under different paradigms, among them bioethics. The situation of the woman is emphasized, as a subject, as well as the priviledged place still taken by men.
