Resumo: | The text follows the trajectory of studies by the Center for Studies and Research on Education in Early Childhood (NUPEIN) in search of the point of view of children in research. In it, we will locate the first steps of research with children from the nucleus, mapping the studies that drove this research path and the interests that motivated them. Then, we will present the set of research, authorship, methodologies, researched children and some useful contributions to deepen the understanding of children, their childhoods and their education. Afterwards, we will deal with research with children more recent by updates the mapping of NUPEIN production. In the end, we highlight that these two decades of research with children have taught us that for teaching in Early Childhood Education, recognition from a children's point of view is essential. |

In the end, we highlight that these two decades of research with children have taught us that for teaching in Early Childhood Education, recognition from a children's point of view is essential.O texto percorre a trajetória de estudos do Núcleo de Estudos e Pesquisas da Educação na Pequena Infância (NUPEIN) em busca do ponto de vista das crianças nas pesquisas. Nele, localizaremos os primeiros passos das pesquisas com crianças do núcleo, mapeando os estudos que impulsionaram este percurso de investigação e os interesses que os motivaram. Em seguida, apresentaremos o conjunto das pesquisas, autorias, metodologias, crianças pesquisadas e algumas contribuições profícuas para aprofundar a compreensão sobre as crianças, suas infâncias e sua educação. Após, trataremos das pesquisas com crianças mais recentes atualizando o mapeamento da produção do NUPEIN.
