Resumo: In different scenarios, the idea has been constant that Colombia is not only a multi-ethnic, multilingual country, but also a multi-racial one. The first two qualifiers are more present in national life, while the image of various races represents, in the best of cases, a social panic that is difficult to name, easy to argue by denying or admitting their existence. In particular, where the revelation of skin colors causes greater sensitivity is in school, therefore this advance adds to the current of studies that deal with the consequences of race in the lives of school children. To delimit the scope of this article, it is specified that it corresponds to the preliminary results of an ongoing doctoral thesis whose central theme is the racial identity of black boys and girls, to situate this debate, it is asked what colors does childhood paint with? of blackness, your skin color and phenotype? In methodological terms, the qualitative method was chosen that, through workshops on the drawing of the body, would enable the protagonist participation of infants, in order from these sources to provoke new questions to the black child subject, whose knowledge in childhood studies, continue to be conspicuous by their absence. The initial responses indicate that these cartoonists do not paint themselves mostly with colors other than skin or pink, so common in children's color boxes, a situation that corroborates findings from decades ago regarding a racial consciousness, which shows confusion on the part of the reborn of blackness.
