Resumo: In different parts of the globe, the also known as “migratory crisis” is occupying headlines and the interest of public opinion. Among the most recent “crises”, the flow of Mexican and Central American children and adolescents is found in the last decade of the century, moving in a way considered “unaccompanied” by this border that I will call as “inequality scar”. Much more than a geographical space or a physical architecture obstacle, the Mexico-United States border reveals that the wall is composed of legal and paralegal architecture aimed at the complex and paradoxical function of protecting and punishing the forced displacement of children. Among several meetings made possible by field research for my doctoral dissertation, here I bring the Juan Carlos’s history, in which the circumstances of this meeting reveal the limits of the concept of “unaccompanied” established by Mexican institutions.
