Light Magazine in the construction of the ideal worker in the 1930s

Resumo: The purpose of this article is to point out the relevance and objectives of Light Magazine (1928-1940), from The Rio de Janeiro Tramway, Light and Power, in its project to train its workers in the 1930s. The magazine was destined and distributed free of charge to the workers of the company, headquartered in Rio de Janeiro, but with a network of more than twenty thousand employees spread beyond the nation's capital. Among other intentions, it created a channel of dialogue and internal discourse in the formation of an ideal prototype of worker, aligned with a proposal for the valorization of work and the harmonization among social classes.

A revista era destinada e distribuída gratuitamente aos trabalhadores da empresa, que tinha sua sede no Rio de Janeiro, mas possuía uma rede de mais de 20 mil funcionários espalhados para além da capital federal.
