Resumo: The scope of this article is to retrieve information related to the lives of the slaves who worked at Mina da Passagem, located in the city of Mariana. To achieve this, the accouting records of the mentioned mine were used as a source, Which include expenses related to the maintenance of the enslaved population (clothing, medicines, payments to doctors, purchase of burial shrouds, among other). By correlating this data wtih other contemporary sources, it was possible to reconstruct the brief life trajectories of these individuals and shed light on the consequences of the harsh work routine to Which they were subjected.
