Resumo: Gilbert Durand proposed in his anthropological theory on the imaginary the hypothesis that myths are matrix to narratives and developed a methodology to identify the myths that direct the stories. This methodology is compound by myth criticism and myth analysis processes. Based on Durand’s hypothesis and methodology, this paper develops a protocol for mapping and construction of diagrams applied to the analysis of the imaginary in audiovisual productions. In the final part of this paper, to show the applicability and its potential results, this method is applied to the analysis of the movie Blade Runner.
