Resumo: This article aims to analyze the main factors which make the TV series 24 push to the limits the dilemma “form versus content”, at the expenses of the contraposition between its high quality values and the difusion of an ideologic trope characterized by ethnical prejudices and by the sistematic violation of human rights, in the context of the “war on terror”. It is paid particular attention, respectively, to the historical context in which the has been was presented, to the effects of the politics of casting employed by the its producers, and to the polemic question of torture.
