THE DIFFERENT VOICES IN THE STUDIES OF THE CLASSICAL NARRATIVE FOR THE CINEMA SCREENPLAY

Resumo: | From the 1980s, several studies on screenplay proliferated to guide the creation of stories with popular appeal. Very influential publications were written by authors like Syd Field, Blake Snyder, Robert McKee and Christopher Vogler, as well as screenwriters like Paul Schrader, David Mamet and Jill Chamberlain. These different voices agree and diverge when analyzing aspects that make up a script. They were joined by screenwriters who subverted concepts from these studies, opening up new possibilities. This article intends to analyze different concepts about these theories demonstrating how Charlie Kaufman, a screenwriter recognized for his creativity, applies them in his work. |

Publicaciones muy influyentes fueron escritas por autores como Syd Field, Blake Snyder, Robert McKee y Christopher Vogler, así como guionistas como Paul Schrader, David Mamet y Jill Chamberlain. Estas distintas voces coinciden y divergen a la hora de analizar aspectos que componen un guión. A ellos se unieron guionistas que subvirtieron conceptos de estos estudios, abriendo nuevas posibilidades. Este artículo tiene como objetivo analizar diferentes conceptos sobre estas teorías, demostrando cómo Charlie Kaufman, un guionista reconocido por su creatividad, las aplica en su trabajo. A partir dos anos 1980, proliferaram vários estudos sobre roteiro com o intuito de orientar a criação de histórias com apelo popular. Publicações bastante influentes foram escritas por autores como Syd Field, Blake Snyder, Robert McKee e Christopher Vogler, além de roteiristas como Paul Schrader, David Mamet e Jill Chamberlain. Essas diferentes vozes concordam e divergem ao analisar aspectos que compõem um roteiro. A elas juntaram-se roteiristas que subvertiam conceitos desses estudos, abrindo novas possibilidades. Esse artigo pretende analisar diferentes conceitos acerca dessas teorias demonstrando como Charlie Kaufman, um roteirista reconhecido por sua criatividade, os aplica em seu trabalho.
