Resumo: We aim to analyze how the special season of the series Sob Pressão: Plantão Covid potentiated a local dimension of the experience of a global event. For this, we use communicational poetics (ROCHA, 2020) as a methodological design that combines televisuality with the hermeneutics of narrative to explore artworks of serial television fiction. We concentrate on the protagonist and understand that the series, with a narrative focus on the heroine figure, mixes personal and public dramas, enhances the experience of what it is to be a doctor working in a pandemic and exposes the specificities of the brazilian’s health system.
