Resumo: This work studies how music takes the form of an imaginary narrative helping to produce meaning in cartoons, through the analysis of cartoons Hanna Barbera's The Cat Concerto, starring Tom & Jerry; and Friz Freleng's Rhapsody Rabbit, starring Bugs Bunny. Both, from 1946, built on Franz Liszt's "Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2", 1847.
