REMEDIED LITERATURE IN SLASHER MOVIES AND SERIES:: AN INTERMIDIATE APPROACH

Resumo: the article aims to investigate the possible goals of slasher movies and series creators when using literature within a subgenre so essentially cinematic. To do so, examples from films such as Halloween and A nightmare on Elm Street and the Scream TV series will be analyzed. This research, related to the study of intermidiality, is based on the work of André Bazin, Lúcia Nagib, Jay David Bolter, Richard Grusin, Harold Bloom and Ágnes Pethö, in addition to researches by authors studying the slasher movie, such as Richard Nowell, Jim Harper, and Carol J. Clover.

Para tanto, serão analisados exemplos presentes em filmes como Halloween: a noite do terror e A hora do pesadelo e na série televisiva Scream. Tal investigação se relaciona com o estudo da intermidialidade, e é fundamentada pelos trabalhos de André Bazin, Lúcia Nagib, Jay David Bolter, Richard Grusin, Harold Bloom e Ágnes Pethö, além das pesquisas de autores que estudam o slasher movie, como Richard Nowell, Jim Harper e Carol J.
