A preliminary look at the Amazonia: Communication and audiovisual in Belém do Pará

Resumo: There are many narratives produced and reproduced about the Amazon, which identify customs and knowledge, and present daily and habits of the region. In this sense, audiovisual plays an important role in producing a discourse on this plural place, but is sometimes treated in a homogeneous way. This article aims to make a first theoretical and historical approach on the theme, bringing to the reflection the audiovisual productions of Belem do Para on the Amazon, trying to perceive still what place this media occupies in the researches in communication.

Este artigo tem objetivo de fazer uma primeira aproximação teórica e histórica sobre o tema, trazendo para reflexão as produções audiovisuais paraenses sobre a Amazônia, buscando perceber ainda que lugar essa mídia ocupa nas pesquisas em comunicação.
