Resumo: The article aims to present a proposal for Upcycling as an innovation tool, as it creates a new life cycle for the product, by giving it a new function or by transforming it into a new artifact, usually of high added value. The initiative comes from the abundance of discarded glass bottles in the city of Aurora / CE, which are not taken for recycling, giving a useful purpose to this material so that the garbage in the city is reduced. The method of development of the new product is experimental and there was direct manipulation of the bottles with accessible tools to cut and sand them, with the intention that the method can be easily reproduced by other people. Different alternatives were generated and the best Project was selected, resulting in a table lamp and the step-by-step of the creation process is described in the article
