Resumo: Cities are in constant development, seeking to meet the population demands of the urban environment, in this sense, it is necessary to open spaces for the production and reproduction of capital. The exaggerated use of natural resources makes there an urgent need for thoughts and attitudes towards the implementation of sustainable and ecological buildings, as they are great allies to the environment as a whole. Thus, the Efficient Popular House of the Federal University of Santa Maria, has the purpose of presenting low-cost materials that have a minimal impact on the environment, as well as experiments that make the use of natural resources in favor of human and convenience. From the Post-Occupation Assessment it is possible to carry out a detailed analysis of the materials (tetra pak tile, soil-cement brick, eucalyptus frames, recycled PVC and experiments (vegetable brise, heating system, cross ventilation). The article aims to present the materials present in the CPE of UFSM, from the Post-Occupation Assessment.
