Resumo: This work aims at the use of woven network from natural fiber jute, installed in the cross channel to prevent the flow of waste to the Rio Negro. The proposed garbage collection system is sustainable, biodegradable and low cost, using the local raw material found and can be produced in the Amazon region. This study is based on the conceptual approach, application and viability of literature, as well as a research in other implementation models of garbage collection systems to propose a prototype design, using mapping satellite images and the local data collected in Manaus natural drainage. The research proposes a preliminary model that can be adapted to any urban channel of the Amazon.

Esta proposta de sistema de coleta de lixo é sustentável, biodegradável e de baixo custo, utilizando a matéria-prima local encontrada e que pode ser produzida na região amazônica, promovendo o plantio, produção e manufatura pelas comunidades ribeirinhas. O estudo baseia-se na abordagem conceitual, na aplicação e viabilidade da literatura, bem como na pesquisa em outros modelos de implantação de sistemas de coleta de lixo para propor um protótipo, utilizando imagens de satélite e os dados locais coletados na drenagem natural de Manaus.
