Resumo: Babaçu coconut is widely used in the state of Piauí to produce some derivatives, such as babaçu oil. These products are of great importance for the region's economy and their production processes need to be studied for improvement. Theobjective of this article is to identify the Carbon Footprint associated to the productive process of babaçu coconut oil in a company in Piauí. For the quantification of emissions, it was necessary to gather data and information from the emission sources to be treated in GEMIS 4.6, software used globally for the calculation of the carbon footprint. The results revealed that this process has a Carbon Footprint of 184, 98 kg of CO2eq per month, a good value, since it is withinthe average emissions for this type of activity in the state.
