Lembro de já ter ajudado a instalar antenas de televisão, pintar paredes, cortar madeiras, montar armários, consertar bicicletas, desinstalar e instalar aparelhos domésticos, dentre os mais diversos serviços corriqueiros do dia a dia. Mesmo que algumas coisas não houvessem chegado ao resultado de um trabalho profissional, eu estava ali: desenvolvendo e aprendendo a partir da prática. Independente de ser - ou não ser - mulher. Portanto, este trabalho surge a partir deste interesse em falar sobre corpo e técnica juntamente com reflexões sobre gênero, principalmente por vivermos situações corriqueiras em que noções de capacidade para realizar certas atividades ainda são muito relacionadas e pautadas por sexo e gênero. A partir de um breve relato etnográfico de mulheres que estão no Curso Técnico em Mecânica no Instituto Federal de Santa Catarina - IFSC e um levantamento de debates teóricos sobre corporeidade e gênero nos estudos sociais, procuro trabalhar a importância de discutir questões de gênero a partir das teorias contemporâneas sobre o corpo. Portanto, este trabalho se propõe como exercício de reflexão sobre alguns dos pares de oposição tradicionais na constituição das Ciências Sociais, como, por exemplo, natureza/cultura, corpo/mente e sexo/gênero. Por fim, a principal finalidade reside em retomar algumas análises teóricas sobre o corpo para demonstrar como estas também são ferramentas úteis para debatermos e, de certa forma, criticarmos relações de gênero.I'm the daughter of a bricoleur. Therefore, this work is proposed as an exercise of reflection on some of the traditional opposition pairs in the constitution of the Social Sciences, such as nature/culture, body/mind and sex/gender.
