Resumo: The present study highlights part of a research done in the field of surfaces design which is inserted in the main area of inclusive fashion design and has the objective of finding materials to develop textures for people with visual difficulty. During the research of materials that would attend the requirements of the project and also be sustainable, an alternative printing in discarded tires rubber was developed in partnership with craftsmen from the city of Ipuaçu, SC. These craftsmen already produce furniture with used tires, which made possible to acquire the necessary knowledge for handling the rubber. As analysis result, the project unites sustainability and design in the generation of knowledge and improves the quality of life for visually impaired people or people with visual difficulty in a material that may be applied in a variety of objects that are used in people’s lives.
