Biologia.Lombalgia é o termo que se refere a uma dor na região lombar da coluna, ela está presente em ambos os sexos, podendo se estender de uma dor súbita a muito intensa. A lombalgia é uma condição física muito comum, por isso acredita-se na importância do tema, principalmente em relação aos seus tratamentos. A pesquisa trata-se de esclarecer melhor sobre as causas, impactos na qualidade de vida e métodos de tratamentos em relação à lombalgia, um tipo de algia que pode trazer problemas ao longo da vida dos pacientes. Dentro deste tema, há várias causas da dor que acomete a região lombar, podendo variar de uma simples dor, causada por uma postura inadequada, até uma dor severa que acaba deixando o indivíduo a base de medicações e tratamentos prolongados. Visto isso, e partindo da preocupação para com o próximo, traz-se um estudo com análise dos impactos causados por lombalgia e também os meios alternativos utilizados para tratá-la, como o uso de práticas integrativas e complementares, trazendo informações sobre orientações da OMS e o uso das PICs no SUS. Desta maneira, buscou-se como base para esta pesquisa alguns estudos já publicados que tratam do assunto de forma coerente e explicativa.Low back pain is the term that refers to pain in the lower back of the spine, it is present in both sexes and can range from sudden to very intense pain. Low back pain is a very common physical condition, which is why we believe in the importance of the topic, especially in relation to its treatments. The research aims to better clarify the causes, impacts on quality of life and treatment methods in relation to low back pain, a type of pain that can cause problems throughout the life of patients. Within this theme, there are several causes of pain that affects the lumbar region, which can vary from a simple pain, caused by inadequate posture, to severe pain that ends up leaving the individual on the basis of medications and prolonged treatments. In view of this, and based on the concern for others, a study is carried out with an analysis of the impacts caused by low back pain and also the alternative means used to treat it, such as the use of integrative and complementary practices, bringing information about OMS guidelines and the use of PICs in SUS.
