A taxa de desenvolvimento é delimitada pelas temperaturas basais inferior (Tb) e superior (TB); valor de energia mínima que ativa os mecanismos metabólicos; ou acima que promove a estagnação das atividades metabólicas. O objetivo com o estudo foi estimar a Tb e a soma térmica (ST) de brócolis ramoso para diferentes subperíodos, usando os respectivos métodos: menor desvio padrão (em dias), do desenvolvimento relativo e do coeficiente de regressão. A data de emergência foi estabelecida a partir do momento em que mais de 50% das plantas da área útil apresentaram a folha cotiledonar expandida. Assim, a Tb e a ST foram obtidas para os seguintes subperíodos: da emergência a sétima folha verdadeira (EM-SF), da sétima folha verdadeira até o aparecimento da inflorescência central (SF-IN) e da emergência até o aparecimento da inflorescência central (EM-IN). O experimento foi conduzido em casa de vegetação com quatro semeaduras, realizadas no Centro de Ciências Agrárias da Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, em Florianópolis. Durante o subperíodo EM-SF, SFIN e EM-IN, a temperatura basal inferior do brócolis ramoso foi de -3,4°C, 8,3°C e 15,2°C, e a soma térmica necessária para a cultura completar o ciclo foi de 804,0, 787,7 e 363,9 grausdia acumulado, respectivamente.The reproductive development of vegetal species is directly affected by different enviromental factors, having the air temperature as the main limiting. The development rate is determined by both low (Tb) and high (TB) basal temperature; the minimum energy values that trigger the metabolic mechanisms, or even above average that causes the stagnation of metabolic activities. The aim of this work is to estimate the Tb and the thermical addition (ST) of the branchy broccoli for different subperiods, using the following methods: the lower standard deviation (in days), the relative development and the regression coefficient. The time for the unfolding has been set as starting at the moment when more than 60% of the cotyledon leaves of the plants in the usable area would have expanded. Thus, Tb and ST were obtained for the following subperiods: from emergence to the seventh true leaf (EM-SF), from the seventh true leaf to the appearance of the central inflorescence (SF-IN) and from emergence to the appearance of the central inflorescence (EM-IN).This experiment has taken place in the vegetables house and divided into four seeding moments, at the Centro de Ciências Agrárias da Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, in Florianópolis. During the EM-SF, SF-IN and EM-IN subperiods, the lower basal temperature of branchy broccoli was -3,4°C, 8,3°C and 15,2°C, and the thermal sum required for the crop completing the cycle was 804,0, 787,7 and 363,9 cumulative degree-days, respectively.
