Centro de Ciências da Saúde. Odontologia.Ao longo da história, a Implantodontia adaptou-se às novas necessidades exigidas tanto pelos pacientes quanto por evoluções das técnicas e teorias. O objetivo deste trabalho é demonstrar, com embasamento científico, os principais fatores para obtenção do sucesso na instalação de implante imediato em área estética. Esse estudo traz uma revisão da literatura atual elaborada através de uma coletânea de artigos científicos pertinentes ao tema com texto completo disponível, por meio de um levantamento bibliográfico na base de dados online Pubmed durante 1 ano (maio de 2014 – maio de 2015), Foram utilizadas as ferramentas disponíveis para uma pesquisa avançada e as palavras chave/Mesh terms: “narrow diameter implants”, “immediate dental implant”, “esthetic outcomes”, “approach technique”, “flapless surgery”, “cone morse” e “tooth extraction”. Foram descritos os critérios mais importantes para a colocação de implante imediato (exodontia minimamente traumática, o diâmetro do implante, o tipo de conexão protética, a técnica cirúrgica sem elevação do retalho mucoperiosteal e approach palatino, e o preenchimento alveolar) e, em seguida, foi feita a análise destes princípios que possibilitam instalação de implante imediato em área estética. Assim, os implantes imediatos são alternativas excelentes quando se torna necessário unir estética, previsibilidade e satisfação do paciente e do profissional. Além disso, apresentam alto índice de sucesso tanto na questão estética como na estabilidade ao longo do tempo pela manutenção dos tecidos moles e duros. Ainda, consistem em alternativas para pacientes que buscam tratamentos eficazes e com maior custo-benefício.Throughout history, the Implantology has been adapted to the new needs required both by patients and by the evolution of techniques and theories. The objective of this study is to demonstrate with scientific background, the main factors to achieve success in the immediate implant installation in the aesthetic area. This study provides a review of current literature elaborated through a collection of scientific papers related to the theme with full text available through a literature review in the online database Pubmed for 1 year (may 2014 - may 2015). The available tools for advanced search and keyword / Mesh terms were used: "narrow diameter implants," "dental implant immediate", "esthetic outcomes," "approach technique", "flapless surgery", "morse cone" and "tooth extraction" The most important criteria have been described for the immediate placement of the implant (minimally traumatic extraction, the diameter of the implant, the type of prosthesis connection, the surgical technique without raising the mucoperiosteal flap and palatal approach, and alveolar filling) and then it was made the analysis of these principles that allow immediate implant installation in the aesthetic area. Thus, immediate implants are excellent alternatives when it becomes necessary to combine aesthetics, predictability and patient satisfaction and professional. Also, they have a high success rate in both aesthetics and stability over time for maintaining the soft and hard tissues.
