CONTRIBUTIONS FROM STRATEGIC DESIGN TO DESIGN FOR SUSTAINABILITY

Resumo: The paper aims to present the strict relationship between strategic design and sustainability, pointing to the contributions of strategic design in the elaboration of the discourse of design for sustainability. Strategic design provides relevant contributions at several key stages of such elaboration. Among them, there are the suggestion of systemic thinking and complexity theory as epistemological bases, the design of the product-service system, the organization of actors that collaborate in design and entrepreneurship initiatives linked to the search for sustainability, as well as the elaboration of alternative scenarios to current development models, which are evidently unsustainable.

O design estratégico fornece contribuições relevantes em diversas passagens-chave da elaboração.
