However, there is the emergence of new indicators. It was also possible to conclude that there are opportunities for future studies on these themes, mainly on the intersection between the themes of social sustainability and innovation.

Resumo: | A identificação das fontes emissoras de carbono em uma instituição é de fundamental importância quando se deseja mitigar os efeitos negativos dos poluentes dessas emissões. No caso do presente artigo, o cálculo levou em consideração as principais áreas do campus, incluindo o prédio de ensino principal, o setor administrativo, a secretaria acadêmica, além dos laboratórios. Para a realização da análise de geração de carbono pela comunidade acadêmica, foi aplicado um questionário semiestruturado. A população que respondeu às questões abrange três classes divididas em discentes, docentes e servidores. Sendo que os discentes foram identificados e separados novamente entre os cursos de graduação. Os questionários tinham como objetivo colher informações sobre a média de quilômetros rodados por pessoa de um determinado grupo. Este dado é então multiplicado por um fator de geração de gás carbônico. A mesma metodologia de multiplicação por um fator de geração foi utilizada para o cálculo em relação a energia elétrica e GLP. Realizando-se a somatória dos valores estimados em cada um dos itens cálculo foi obtido um total de 526.367,67 kg de CO2 emitidos mensalmente na instituição. A partir desse valor foi possível estimar a área verde necessária para a neutralização da emissão de carbono pela comunidade acadêmica do campus. |
