Racial and socioeconomic vulnerability: implications in the human development process

The individual, throughout their trajectory, faced with a diversity of contexts, may be inserted in situations of vulnerability and subsequent situations of risk, according to which they tend to vary according to the environment in question to be analyzed. Although there is a differentiation between the forms of vulnerability, there may be some particular and similar requirements that tend to affect the human development process, both by inhibiting and amplifying that process. This study intends, based on the selection of articles, to explore various themes of vulnerability, demonstrating possible interpretations and consequences in some trajectories of the individual, thus addressing themes such as racial issues, poverty, and deprivation in childhood. From the observation of such, it becomes possible, albeit in a sensitive way, to highlight that the risk categories can be seen more sharply, in addition to reinforcing the proof of the impact of certain vulnerabilities in the human development process.
