A reflection about freedom of expression versus invasion of privacy on digital social networks

Resumo: The purpose of this article is to reflect on freedom of expression and invasion of privacy in times of social networks. In a scenario where all netizens can be spectators and emitters of content, it gets into debate how to delineate spaces to say what is wanted, without violating the privacy right of other citizens. In this perspective, this research seeks to deepen this theme, through a bibliographical review, based on authors of Law and Communication, with the purpose of bringing the problematization to broaden the current debate. It can be said that common sense, thus, is the point to be sought in the fine line between freedom of expression and the right of the others.

Num cenário onde todos os internautas podem ser espectadores e emissores de conteúdo, põe-se em debate como delinear os espaços de dizer o que se quer, sem que se fira o direito à privacidade de outros cidadãos. Nesse sentido, busca-se na presente pesquisa aprofundar esse tema, por meio de revisão bibliográfica, a partir de autores do Direito e da Comunicação, com o intuito de trazer a problematização para ampliar o debate atual.
