The nursing assistance to people with schizophrenia: an integrative review

Resumo: | Objective: to identify the scientific production about nursing cares to people with schizophrenia and their family. Method: this is an integrative review based on BDENF, LILACS and SCIELO data, as from the “nursing” and “schizophrenia” descriptors with a temporal delimitation of 10 years, 1999-2009. Results: after the data analysis, two thematic categories emerged: the need of nursing to invest in group approaches and the need to commit itself in actions of health education. Conclusion: the conclusion shows that there are lack in the nursing assistance to people with schizophrenia and their families, it evidences the need for planning and investment in group approaches. Beyond that, still is perceptible, the fragility related with the socioeconomic reinsertion of people with schizophrenia, denoting the need for investments and the performance of nursing staff in the health and social rehabilitation of these people |

Resultados: tras el análisis de los datos, surgieron dos categorías temáticas: la necesidad de la enfermería en invertir en el abordaje de grupo y en se involucre en las acciones de educación en salud. Conclusiones: concluye que hay lagunas en la atención de enfermería a la persona con esquizofrenia y su familia, aclarándose la necesidad de planificación e inversiones en los abordajes en grupos. Además, todavía se percibe la fragilidad relacionada a la reinserción socioeconómica de la persona con esquizofrenia, denotando la necesidad de inversiones y la actuación del equipo de enfermería en la rehabilitación de salud e social de esas personas.Objetivo: identificar a produção científica sobre os cuidados de enfermagem à pessoa com esquizofrenia e sua família. Método: trata-se de uma revisão integrativa realizada nas bases de dados BDENF, LILACS e Scielo, a partir dos descritores “enfermagem” e “esquizofrenia” com uma delimitação temporal de dez anos, 1999-2009. Resultados: após a análise dos dados, emergiram duas categorias temáticas: a necessidade da enfermagem investir em abordagem grupal e comprometer-se nas ações de educação em saúde. Conclusão: existem lacunas no cuidado de enfermagem à pessoa com esquizofrenia e sua família, evidenciando-se a necessidade de planejamento e investimentos nas abordagens grupais.
