Training for patient safety: an integration experience among undergraduate and graduate students

Resumo: | Aim: to describe the integration experience that has taken place in a Patient Safety subject, which was offered to undergraduate and postgraduate students, from different health areas. Method: report on the experience of a subject held in the second semester of 2015 at a Federal University of Southern Brazil. In addition to the professors, undergraduate and postgraduate students from the health area participated. Results: the professors and students attending master’s degree program considered the integration between undergraduate and graduate students LatoSensu and StrictoSensu very rich, exchanging experiences among the participants, making the subjects close to reality. The students assessed the discipline as important for training, reporting both positive and negative points. Conclusion: the discipline ratified the importance of discussing patient safety in different multidisciplinary health perspectives, with students of different levels of knowledge. |

Método: relato de experiencia de una materia realizada en la segunda mitad de 2015, en una Universidad Federal del sur de Brasil. Además de los docentes, participaron alumnos de graduación y posgrado. Resultados: los profesores y estudiantes de maestría consideraron la integración entre los alumnos de grado y posgrado Lato Sensu y Stricto Sensu muy rica, ocurriendo el intercambio de experiencias entre los participantes, acercando los temas de la realidad. Los estudiantes evaluaron la materia como importante para la formación, relatando cuestiones positivas y negativas Conclusiones: la disciplina ratificó la importancia de analizar la seguridad del paciente en diferentes perspectivas multidisciplinares de salud, con alumnos de distintos niveles de conocimiento.A necessidade de formar profissionais da saúde voltados para a qualidade assistencial é uma premissa que está em consonância com as políticas nacionais e internacionais para a segurança do paciente. Objetivo: relatar a integração de graduandos e pós-graduandos na disciplina “Segurança do Paciente e Controle das Infecções Relacionadas à Assistência à Saúde”, realizada no segundo semestre de 2015 em uma Universidade Federal do sul do Brasil. Método: a disciplina reuniu discentes multiprofissionais da área da saúde que avaliaram a disciplina como importante para sua formação relatando pontos positivos e negativos observados. Resultados: os professores e mestrandas consideraram a integração entre graduandos e pós-graduandos Lato Sensu e Stricto Sensu muito rica, ocorrendo troca de experiências entre os participantes, tornando os temas próximos da realidade.
