Resumo: The purpose of this dossier is to address, in a broad way, several questions regarding the relationship between image and memory. The influence of the past on the present and the need to critically reflect on individual and collective experiences and experiences, from which reports about the past are constructed, are concerns that are not limited to the professional scope of historians, but that are present in literary and cultural studies, thus assuming an interdisciplinary dimension.
