Resumo: António Lobo Antunes' novels are examples of a historical context, which ends up leading to the problematic of the very search for identity of a Portugal that now needs to turn to itself again. In this sense, the present proposal for the analysis of As Naus will take effect: in the face of a History to be made, the future implies a rereading of the past, but a rereading as critical as all its demystification can be.
