Resumo: Introduction: the objective of the present study was to compare sociodemographic issues and changes observed in the preventive cytological examination of the cervix in different health plans in the city of Passo Fundo - RS. Methods: This is a quantitative, descriptive, cross-sectional study, in 4,523 reports of Gynecological Examinations carried out by SUS, health plans and the private network, in 2019, in the pathology sector of Hospital São Vicente de Paulo, from city of Passo Fundo - RS. Results: 896 were analyzed by SUS, 3,182 through various agreements and 445 in a private manner. The most prevalent cervicovaginal inflammation in the SUS was Gardnerella mobiluncus, in other Gardnerella vaginalis agreements as well as in private. Observing the three different health networks, the age group most affected by G. mobiluncus was 40 to 49 years old and by G. vaginalis from 20 to 29 years old, as well as Candida sp. Conclusions: It was observed that SUS has less education, this may be the reason for presenting greater scaly cell alterations, since due to the lack of information they seek to perform the exam only when they have some symptoms.
