Resumo: | Introduction: Stress is a nonspecific reaction of the body to any demand, internal or external, being a normal part of the functioning of the body. The interest in studying at work has stood out in recent years, especially in relation to the negative impact it can have on the health of employees and, consequently, on the functioning of organizations. In the case of community health agents, they are considered to be in environments, conditions and pressures. Several strategies can be used to minimize stress, among them physical activity, such as the Pilates method. Considering the work gap reporting the effects of the Pilates method on stress, this study aimed to analyze the influence of this method as a stress coping strategy in Community Health Agents. Methods: Participated in the study 6 Community Health Agents, evaluated with The LIPP questionnaire, Stress Scale at work and Stress Scale perceived and submitted to intervention with the Pilates Method for 12 weeks to reduce stress. Results: There was a decrease in the participants’ stress levels, more evidenced by the LIPP Questionnaire. Conclusion: Pilates has been shown to be efficient in reducing stress symptomatology, and it is recommended to carry out new studies in the area. |

Universidade Federal de Santa Maria2018-08-15info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://periodicos.ufsm.br/revistasaude/article/view/2667210.5902/2236583426672Saúde (Santa Maria); Revista Saúde (Santa Maria), Vol.44, n.2, maio-ago. 2018Saúde (Santa Maria); Revista Saúde (Santa Maria), Vol.44, n.2, maio-ago. 20182236-58340103-4499reponame:Saúde (Santa Maria)instname:Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (UFSM)instacron:UFSMporhttps://periodicos.ufsm.br/revistasaude/article/view/26672/pdfCopyright (c) 2018 Saúde (Santa Maria)info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessBalk, Rodrigo de SouzaHolstein, Juliana MartinsLara, SimoneGraup, Susane2020-05-14T20:43:47Zoai:ojs.pkp.sfu.ca:article/26672Revistahttps://periodicos.ufsm.br/revistasaudePUBhttps://periodicos.ufsm.br/revistasaude/oairevistasaude.ufsm@gmail.com || amanda.revsaude@gmail.com || beatriz.revsaude@gmail.com2236-58342236-5834opendoar:2020-05-14T20:43:47Saúde (Santa Maria) - Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (UFSM)false |
