Resumo: It aims to evaluate the drug safety profile used on the need for dose adjustment, potential drug interactions and describe the adverse reactions of drugs used by hemodialysis patients. Crosssectional, with data collection was conducted through a questionnaire administered to patients undergoing hemodialysis, some data were confirmed by analyzing the charts. Participants were 91 patients with a mean of drugs of 7.8 ± 2.88 per patient and 81.3 % make use of polypharmacy. It was found that 64.8 % of patients are exposed to at least one potential interaction, 61.4% of the drugs need to have their dose adjusted and 36.3 % of patients reported adverse drug reaction. Patients undergoing hemodialysis require further attention and follow-up with regard to their pharmacological therapy, for which the interdisciplinary team activities in order to reduce potential interactions, adverse reactions to drugs and contribute to a better quality of life is essential and patient survival.
