The aim of this article was to identify sustainable associative entities ' contributions of collectors of waste by means of reverse logistics in the municipality of Palmas/TO. The survey was conducted on two associative entities of waste collectors. The research method is the case study. The research is applied, with a qualitative approach and exploratory objectives, based on field study. The procedures were divided into two stages: bibliographical research and field research. Two entities were surveyed: an association and a cooperative. Both exert role in reverse logistics in the municipality studied, contributing to preserving the environment, generating jobs, income and social inclusion of vulnerable families. However, even with such importance, such entities still face difficulties, mainly due to lack of government partnerships and implementation of selective waste collection programs site.
