The method usedconsisted of a literature review and analysis of documentation submitted for approval by theowners of the project area. The objective of this work is to support those interested inunderstanding an conducting the process of approval of subdivision of land for building houses inthe State of São Paulo, Brasil, specifically in Cravinhos. The results of the case study lead toconclude that the owner of the area and its advisers has difficulty in presenting appropriatedocumentation to the norms.Keywords: Land division. O método empregado constituiu-se de levantamento bibliográfico e da análise da documentação submetida à aprovação pelos donos da área do projeto. O objetivo do trabalho é subsidiar os interessados no entendimento e condução do processo de aprovação de projetos de parcelamento de terrenos para construção de habitações, no Estado de São Paulo, Brasil, especificamente em Cravinhos. Os resultados do caso estudado permitem deduzir que o dono da área, e seus assessores, tiveram dificuldade de apresentar documentação apropriada às normatizações. Palavras-chave: Parcelamento do solo.
