The increasing population, the resulting territorial expansion and the lack of planning in soil use and occupation have caused several environmental impacts in urban environments. This paper aims to make a diagnosis of the environmental impacts where the park “Alfredo Werner Nyffeler” -located in the city of Maringa-PR finishes, doing an inspection of the place. During the visit, we confirmed that there are urban erosion problems in the region, due to the drainage system’s precarious conditions of the place. This is also bound to the contamination problems of the soil used in the construction of the drainage system that are close to collapse. We also observed an inadequate solid waste placement that contributes to the environmental impacts where the park ends. The analysis of these factors allowed us to make suggestion on the actions to be taken for the recovery and preservation of the study zone.
